Interested in Marching Band?
We hope so! Marching band is in amazing blend of music, travel, competition and friendship. Here is some basic information that might be helpful for you:
Timeline
Registration for marching band takes place in March (except for drumline, which begins the fall prior to the season with winter drumline).
All members of the band are expected to fully take part in "Band Camp," which happens over a week when noted on the schedule. Here, they will perfect their music and will learn their choreography.
The marching season begins in June, the full schedule will be posted as soon as it is available.
Costs
There are two payments for the band season, and possibly a third, depending on whether the band will travel or not plus any costs for the fundraiser.
A $175 activity fee, payable to Owatonna High School. If you have reached your school district activity fee family max, this fee will be waived.
A $200 marching band fee
